Where will funds be directed?

One hundred percent of your donation will go directly to your chosen cause at Northumbria University. Upon making your donation, you can select which of our campaigns you would like your donation to support. You can find out full details about each of our campaigns by visiting: - Giving to Northumbria University. Alternatively, if you have no preference which campaign your donation supports, please select Give where it’s needed most’ option and we can ensure that your donation is directed to the areas where the most support is required.

Can I set up a recurring payment?

Yes, if you would like to set up a regular donation to one of our campaigns, you can do so by ticking the ‘I want to make this a regular direct debit’ box at the top of the campaign page you wish to support and selecting your donation start date and frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annually).

Can I make a significant donation to Northumbria University?

Absolutely. If you'd like to discuss making a significant donation to Northumbria, we would love to hear from you. Please email vc.giving@northumbria.ac.uk with a few details about the donation you are considering and the cause that you would like to support. A member of our Advancement team will then get in touch with you to discuss your plans in more detail and answer any questions you might have.

I’m interested in including a donation to Northumbria University in my Will – can I do this?

Is my payment secure?

Yes, all payments made through the Northumbria University giving website will be processed by Stripe. For more details about Stripe, please visit www.striple.com/gb/privacy.

Why is my payment not going through?

Please check that you have included the postcode to which your bank card is registered on both the address field and card details field of your donation form. If there is still a problem, please contact us at giving@northumbria.ac.uk .

Are my donations eligible for Gift Aid?

Yes, Northumbria University has charitable status for all UK tax purposes. So, if you are eligible for the Gift Aid scheme Northumbria can claim an extra 25% on donations you have made in the last four years and on future donations once we receive your declaration.

If you are a UK taxpayer with the UK home address, please tick the ‘Gift Aid’ box when completing your donation form to confirm your eligibility and increase impact of your donation.

Northumbria University is an exempt charity under Schedule 2 of the Charities Act 1993. Our exempt Charity Number is XR11395.

Will my donation be acknowledged?

Yes. When you make your donation online, you’ll receive an email acknowledgement to let you know that your donation has been successfully processed. If you’re a UK taxpayer wishing to claim tax relief on your donation, this confirmation can also act as a receipt for tax purposes.

Can other people see my donation?

Yes, other people will be able to see your donation on our donor roll of honour. If you would not like your name displayed, please tick the ‘anonymous’ button when completing the Gift Visibility section of your donation form.

If you would like your name displayed but not the amount you donated, please tick the ‘show name only’ box.

What if I’m giving from outside the UK?

Wherever you are in the world, you can use this website to make a donation. . Making a donation online is the quickest and easiest way to support Northumbria University directly. We accept donations via bank cards from all over the world.
